Sophia Gardiner be leading a workshop at the Artists Against Austerity event at the Miner's in Moston.
Participants are invited to create hampers for asylum seekers, refugees and migrants to welcome them into Manchester, in a show of solidarity against the government's institutionalised efforts to make the UK a 'hostile environment' to migrants and refugees.
Please bring anything you think should be included in a gift basket to help new arrivals settle in, and as much cellophane/ wrapping paper, ribbon and baskets as you can!
There will also be a workshop from the Baker's Union, and music from Fly Casual, The Second System, Walk Like Fool Does and Some Young Lad.
Entry is £3 on the door.
