All the support was greatly appreciated. It meant Flora did not have to go through the ordeal alone and that throughout an incredibly stressful and uncertain day she had people to turn to.
It also meant that as is often the case if there had been a UKBA snatch squad (and there were potential sightings at the end of the road) there would have been witnesses, acting as both a deterrent, as well as ensuring a greater degree of accountability. The general consensus was that this was something positive to bear in mind for future actions.
There has been no indication of why the UKBA failed to attend for their prearranged meeting, nor any additional information to report subsequently. It is as a result unclear whether or not the pilot scheme is ongoing and also therefore what the position of Flora and her family is.
Currently efforts have been stepped up to pursue her legal case, she is also meeting with her MP . Her fight to remain is ongoing, but for now we have bought more time and bolstered support.
Once again thank you for the solidarity shown with Flora and her young children. It has been a massive positive to come out of a very hard period of time for this young family.
